Information and Communication Technology is taught to all pupils
in Key Stages 3,4 and post 16.
ICT is taught in 3 fully equipped computer rooms. Students are
encouraged to further develop their skills in their own time when
the computer rooms are available.
The aim of the department is to encourage the students to become
independent users of ICT enabling them to use the skills learned
to assist them in their other subjects. We enable students to be
confident and competent users of a range of software applications
Across the curriculum, teachers are using ICT to enhance teaching
and learning. Use of the internet in lessons, Maths Alive, Board
works and Sam Learning are just a few examples. We use Information & Communication
Technologies that come our way in order to help our students to gain
Interesting, exciting, challenging, motivating and stimulating
are just some of the words that can describe ICT.
